Simple carbohydrates can lead to Alzheimer's

If you eat an imbalanced diet high in simple carbohydrates long enough, your body bcomes less responsive to the action of insulin. Your blood sugar levels soar despite high levels of insulin and the excess blood glucose coverted into fat (belly fat around the waistline). This leads to insulin resistance syndrome, type 2 diabetes, elevated cholesterol, higher LDL (bad) cholesterol, lower HDL (good) cholesterol), and increased triglycerides.
