It has been discovered recently that the nerve bundles and neurons in the heart contain an abundant supply of glutamate receptors. This may explain why some people suddenly die after consuming foods containing large amounts of MSG. Many reports tell of people who eat out at restaurants and an hour later develop crushing chest pain and shortness of breath...

The food industry has responded with feeble attempts to defend the continuing practice of adding such dangerous additives to our food.

In one of their more interesting attempts at self-justification, they were given an entire issue of a prestigious journal in which to expound the safety of MSG. The supposedly scientific articles mostly read like infomercials, with some even encouraging the elderly to eat more foods containing MSG (Mono sodium Glutamate). Interestingly, the Ajinomoto Company, primary manufacturers of MSG, funded every article in the journal. They are getting desperate.
