Nutrition and melanoma cancer

Tests using DHA against melanoma cells in culture have shown promising results against this nasty cancer. One study fund that there were two types of melanoma cells, one that was sensitive to destruction and growth suppression by DHA and another that was resistant.

Earlier studies have demonstrated that the flavonoid (quercetin) found in high concentrations in teas, onions, shallots, apples, and cranberries) inhibits the growth and spread of melanomas and can induce apoptosis as well. You can mix quercetin powder from a capsule into the oil mix I discussed before, since quercetin is oil soluble. This combination is active against both types of melanoma cells.
