Vegetarian diet helps fight cancer

Okay, so if we cut the fat and cholesterol, and boost our intake of vegetables, fruits, and whole grains to take advantage of their natural immune boosters, will we se an effect? No question. Researchers at the German Cancer Research Center in Heidelberg decided to look at people following healthy vegetarian diets, and compared them to nonvegetarian volunteers working at the cancer center. They drew blood samples and tested their white blood cells' ability to knock out cancer cells. The results were striking: The vegetarians had more than double the ability to destroy cancer cells, compared to nonvegetarians. You can do better still, because, while many of these vegetarians had not yet eliminated dairy products or eggs and some were having only fairly modest vegetable portions, you can take these added steps for even more immune power. Cancer drugs are truly miraculous, but so are the medicines that grow from the ground and hang from the trees. Fro anyone facing cancer at any stage, it would be prudent to take full advantage of nature's full range of immunity-boosting foods.
