Abstract:The article reports on how omega-3 fatty acids, particularly DHA (decosahexanoic acid) increases calcium absorption and deposition in bone. Marine-derived omega-3 fatty acid consumption such as tuna oil, increases the bioavailability of dietary calcium and supports its integration to bone tissue.
