Abstract:Provides some insights into the side-effects of drugs that cause bone loss citing the effects of Depo-Provera Contraception Injection. List of drugs that cause bone loss including glucocorticoid medications, chemotherapy drugs for prostate and breast cancers and SSRI antidepressants; Emphasis on how glucocorticoid medicine slow the rate of bone formation; Negative effects of androgen deprivation therapy in increasing the risk of osteoporotic bone fractures.
