Abstract:The article reports on the association of body weight and ovarian cancer as revealed by medical records from Cedars Sinai Medical Center of 216 women with ovarian cancer in the U.S. It highlights that fat tissue produces estrogens that can contribute to the growth of some forms of cancer. It also emphasizes that healthy weight maintenance is significant to the prevention and survival of many forms of cancer.
