Abstract:This article explores the relation between pancreatic cancer and red and processed meats. Pancreatic cancer is a disease that is difficult to detect and treat. According to researchers at the University of Hawaii and University of Southern California, a diet containing high level of red and processed meats makes humans prone to pancreatic cancer. Data from the Multiethnic Cohort Study were analyzed by the researchers. According to their results, those individuals who consumed the most processed meat had a nearly 10% higher risk of pancreatic cancer compared to those with the lowest intake.
