Abstract:The article reports on the lawsuit filed by consumer law firms in California against sunscreen manufacturers Coppertone, Banana Boat Suncare, and Hawaiian Tropic regarding false advertisements on sunscreens as protection against ultraviolet radiation. The lawsuits allege fraud and false advertising regarding sunscreens as a product that protects the skin from sun's radiation. Over 1.5 million skin cancer cases had been recorded annually by the Skin cancer Foundation in the US.
