Abstract:The article focuses on the impact of muscadine grape skin extract (MSKE) in the prevention of prostate cancer cell growth in the U.S. The research led by Jeffrey E. Green showed that MSKE greatly inhibited the growth of cancerous prostate cells while enabling normal prostate cells unaffected. The extract showed an ability to curb the activity of destructive enzymes involved in the cancer invasiveness. The MSKE are rich in anthocyanins which inhibit DNA synthesis in cancer cells and tumors.
