Abstract:The article reports on the recommendation of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists that all pregnant women be screened for gestational diabetes, a form of diabetes that occurs only in pregnancy. An individualized plan from a registered dietician could help in the treatment of gestational diabetes.
