Abstract:The article focuses on multiple sclerosis (MS), an inflammatory disease in which immune cells in the bloodstream pass through blood-brain barrier and damage the protective myelin sheaths around the nerves of the central nervous system. The nerve conduction is interrupted and damaged, leading to a wide array of symptoms. The causal factors of MS include the environment, genetics and vitamin D deficiency. Proper diet is considered to be of help in stopping the disease process.
