Abstract:The article discusses Crohn's disease, an autoimmune disease caused by interaction among genetics, the immune systems, microbes and the environment. Crohn's disease in characterized by the inflammation of the intestinal tract caused by food allergies common among Crohn's patients. The disease interferes with the ability of the intestinal tract to digest and absorb nutrients.
