Abstract:The article focuses on MacDonald's family, Jean and her two daughters Andrea and Stefanie who have their tattoo as a way to commemorate their son and brother, Tyler, who died at the age of 23. Diagnosed with schizophrenia, Tyler took his own life. According to the Schizophrenia Society of Canada, schizophrenia begins in the late teens. On the other hand, Jean's tattoo has healed well and is comforted to know that she will always carry the reminder of her son with her.
